You’re right it’s a forum. Guy answered your question. It’s not wrong just because you don’t like it. If you simply want an echo of your opinion you should try out a cave or a canyon.

I think it looks really naughty and I don’t think it’ll go msrp; it’s a hype builder and seems to have done a pretty good job of that so far.

Imagine what it would be like as a diver. Would break the internet.

I’m going to search up the prototype because I bet it looked great on nato.

Anecdotally, my longtime SA says it has generated lots of requests at the Boutique. I think the novelty of a ti Rolex may be attractive to some, they will sell lots at the listed price.

If ever there was a genuine tool watch - this is it.

I'm surprised to hear of the very low production numbers, so the question really should not be about what Rolex want for it.

The real question is - What price will it command when it becomes generally available on the internet????

I voted don’t care because I don’t care what it costs and I think it’s cool! If I had a chance to buy near msrp I would!

I've got Seiko, Omega and Giga watches in Ti. Look great, weigh comparatively little and not overly expensive. There's nothing extra special about Ti that jacks up the price significantly compared to other watch manufacturers.

I was just thinking about this the other day, good question. I guess my thought is that at MSRP, I would say no, not too expensive at all.

The real question for me: Is it going to be too expensive at wherever it settles on the secondary market? And...obviously, the answer to that won't be known for quite some time.

I can confidently predict, however, that whatever price the first ones to hit the secondary market will be a definite yes.

I like the aesthetic quite a bit, but definitely too pricey for what is IMO.

40mm comes with a platinum bezel, which of course is quite pricey materially at $12.3k it’s a very nice watch, yet 2 mm and a material that is slightly pricier than steel, yet less than platinum costs $2k more. I like it but it doesn’t make sense. Then again what about the prices of these really do…

Compare the YM to the SD43 and not the SkyD:

SD43 is
- LESS expensive,
- has a Glidelock,
- massive WR ability,
- HEV
- and more.
What can the TiYM do that the DS43 can not? Not a thing. YM has a bi-directional bezel, that's it. That'll mean something to the .005% of Rolex owners who actually participate in Regattas.

I like this watch, but not at $14K. Given the above IMO is should be priced between the Sub and the SD43, $10,250.

I have the SD43 and also have the WG YM42. I love the SD43 and don't moan like some that it's too big.
However the YM42 is the most comfortable watch I have ever worn.
I think the Ti YM42 will be a very flexible watch that can be worn comfortably day and night in a way the SD43 can't.

People thinking the msrp is too high will soon become irrelevant when the penny drops that this watch will be fetching well above mrsp. And I don't just mean the initial hype prices, those will settle but the market price will always be at a significant premium.

Anecdote Alert!
I was at my AD this morning having a general catch-up and having a watch sized, we were talking about the Ti Yachtmaster that I have my name down for. I was told ( and I have no reason not to believe them) that they have been advised that they can expect one piece a year between their 4 stores in the U.K. I was asked if I wanted to register an interest in any other piece and “not to hold my breath “ for the Ti Yachtmaster. They also told me that they were stunned by the amount of interest they have had in the Jigsaw Day-Date.

One unit per year? Must be some kind of demonstration piece from Rolex in that case.

I'm interested in a brand new, never worn 42 Ti.

But unfortunately not at secondary market prices.

I forgot I even started this thread.

In consideration of what other brands and references are going for…the recommended retail price in the UK is pretty fair.
