Tudor 79090

Hi I have a new to me Tudor 79090. The crystal has seen better days and needs to be replaced. My AD can order a new one, but now I am thinking I'd like to have a dome without the magnifying dot. Can you please suggest a part number?
Is it the same as a 5513 crystal?
Do I simply order by the dimeter of the crystal?

Also if you know the part number for folded links this would also be very helpful. Bracelet is a 9315.

Thank you!

The crystal for 5513 will fit. Think it’s Tropic 19

Sorry, but folded links can't be ordered - they were last manufactured in 1997/8 for the 79190 the year before it went to solid link in 1998/9.

A load were put into service centres but I was advised they ran out in central stock about half a decade ago.

You might get lucky with an AD holding a few but I've not come across any.

Best place is C24, eBay or TRF and VRF for sale ad's - be careful though, tons of fake ones post up here or or better still vrf to confirm ok.

Expect £75-100 a link as so rare to find loose ones.

A full solid link Tudor 78500 bracelet (equivalent to a Rolex 91350) with 380b end links is available and more secure than the folded link, if you're struggling to find links and want something that gives you confidence.

Else, yes - Rolex T19 crystal should be easily available, even new and blistered.

You could also do the truedome crystal. I have it on my 5513 and am very happy. Last time I checked on the tudor replacement bracelet it was in the $700's. I am a big fan of the 79090. I'll get one eventually myself.

Congrats on your new Tudor 79090! 💪 To replace the crystal, you'll need to order the correct part number. For your reference, the part number for a Tudor 79090 crystal is 25-144.

Search using 7836, 9315, Rolex, Tudor, folded links, spare link in various multiple ways and some often come up.

Now I have not had time to look this over as to legitimacy as I only found it 1 minute ago, and I'm leaving house now ( a few hrs until the listing ends btw ) - but this is example of what pops up on e bay quite often.

25-144 is the standard crystal with cyclops. 25-19 or Tropic 19 (T19) is what the OP needs if they want to go without the cyclops.

If you just want to 'try' a T19, before going to the expense of an original Rolex crystal then you could look at the "Rolex No.19 (Ø303mm), Sternkreuz XS303.472" from Cousins and others e.g. https://www.cousinsuk.com/product/gl...ns?code=C19230

Not everyone likes the look. I do and have one on a 9411.

I paid £800 from a UK AD for a complete 78500 bracelet with 380b end links and spring bars, last month. A lot more money than a link for the folded bracelet, of course, but more secure and very comfortable.

I actually just walked into my local Tudor Ad the other day and ordered a bracelet. It ended up being $1000 Canadian tax in (12%)

I have a folded link and while it’s light, I can’t handle the jingle jangles of daily wear
