1967 GMT Master 1675
Good morning -
I am hoping some of the knowledgeable members can chime in with opinions on this GMT Master and general value before purchasing. I've looked at the usual internet sites, which have helped, but also added to the confusion as the listings range from a low of $12k US to $30k US. This one is being offered at $17k. Some information from the seller (a reputable shop in the Orlando area) - S/N 16xxxxxx, approx 1967 Original owner brought it in. includes box and some papers - warranty booklet and manual service history is unknown the bracelet is stamped 4/70 and 6251H (picture was too blurry) and has moderate stretch (should've taken picture of this). Crown has the brevet cross as seen in the pictures' Dial appears to be Mk1 with 'long E'. Lume has aged to an orange color with some loss on the minute hand, There are many fine scratches but nothing that looks too deep or bothersome. Don't know if it has ever been polished (assume so) but maybe not recently given the scratches. Crystal seems to be in decent condition. Running ok but hasn't been placed on a timer yet. I am sure there are many other details that I have overlooked. Thanks in advance... |

Based on your observations and the photos, I would say that is an interesting GMT 1675 indeed. As far as being unpolished, the bottom left lug appears to have seen the better side of a polishing wheel in the past.

The watch is from 1967 but the band is from Q4 1970 if I'm not mistaken.

Bracelet looks like it has lots of play in it
Pity the papers are missing although it does look interesting. Any wriggle room on the price or is that firm? As a comparison tropical watch have one in for less |
