Thoughts on this 6200 Big crown dial?

I have come across this 6200 with a quite unique Swiss T dial. I have never seen a 6200 dial with Swiss T (or in any other model really). I have seen before fake dials and relumed ones, but why would anyone go to such an extend of faking it only to have that detail off. I'm guessing it could be a service dial

Anyone has come across anything like this?

You'd need to upload photos.

Welcome OP.

No I haven't tbh (never owned one either), and initially my thoughts were aftermarket/redial (eg some third party has retrospectively added a 'T' to the SWISS like some military redial co's eg Burford).

However, I came across this by Baron (and with help from Marcello (rip) who really knew his onions) mentioning that footer as possible one of 4 style dials which is interesting!

The rump of 6200's used the dial aesthetic of a Explorer and is so very rare there are likely dial anomalies. They command big money £400k to £600K and a 6200 Red Explorer here below did £1million

The version 2 they photographed and they questioned (was it added?) is a SWISS T

As Aaron says, any photos of a live watch pls,....we are all collectively hunkered over our monitors/phone screens dutifully coiled-up and ready to pounce on them ;-)

I have a feeling we'll never see the actual watch/dial...
So strange that it's always some suspicious grail with these types of first time posts.

FYI TuRo - the $1m sub is a 6538
