1981 1675 Condition
I found this R serial numbered GMT 1675 at a shop this weekend. I'm not a vintage watch guy but I'd like to be. The watch was serviced by Rolex at a cost of $1400. I understand the hands have been swapped. I always read about over polishing the lugs. Are these over polished? I know I should've taken more pictures and better pictures. There is no box but has the papers that are "open" if that is a good thing. Is this worth 11K?

Check the serial number again and post some photos here. Based on an "R" serial number, the watch would be a GMT 16750 model or a late GMT II 16760 with the sapphire crystal.

Yeah, the story isn't adding up, not year, not reference, not serial. It would be a lot more efficient just to post lots of good photos (watch, bracelet, papers, etc.) so members can sort it out for you.

Surely a 16750 mislabeled? In for the pics!
