How about a Datejust 1601, 1603 or 16013. The 16030 is out of your date range but does have quickset date if I am not mistaken. The others do not. You will have to wind it through a 24 hour cycle to change the date.

The vintage stuff is out of my comfort zone to be honest. Client is looking for the look of what i just showed which seems to be in the 60's time period.

I dont want to source him a watch that he is going to need to service or is prone to issues. Any guidance from that point would be helpful.
