DD Rose Gold vs yellow gold
I need some educating...
Why is a rose gold DD more expensive than a yellow gold DD? What makes rose gold rose? Is the scrap value of rose gold higher than yellow gold? Given the choice of the watches which would you choose and why?

Scrap value of gold is the same white yellow or rose as long as its the same assayed CT.And IMHO gold is gold and should be the same price, but demand might be the key more yellow and white gold sold than Rose gold.

Both are nice and like Niko said if wearing other jewelery you will want YG but myself while not a big fan of YG/RG I have recently fallen in love with the RG DD with the white face and gold numerals. For some reason that match up to me looks so classy and you can wear it with anything. To me the RG just looks warmer and richer (not $ richer)

YG - most jewelery that is a yellow shade of gold, is usually yellow gold as opposed to rose gold/copper. It will match better with yellow gold. But if you dont wear any other jewelery, go with rose gold. It's the trend right now

Yellow Gold is "pure" gold, to make it Rose you have to blend in Copper therefore there is a "Cost" in "Creating" rose gold that is passed along to the consumer.

The Everose gold has copper added to it (for the colour) and platinum (to make sure the colour never fades). As such, it's an alloy, not plated gold, which makes it ideal for watches

ahem i think a jeweller wld be better equiped to tell the indepth review
well actualy rolexes are made of 18kt gold that means 75% is gold n the rest is an alloy yellow contains equal amounts of platium or silver and copper that gives a ligher color than what 24kt would pink gold or everose contains a premixed alloy witha higher content of copper n less f silver or platinum go for the rose gold one its richer n here to stay for long cheers |

I don't know why RG costs more, but maybe it's much like the premium associated with WG. Lesser amounts made compared to YG?? I've heard WG is a bit harder to work with as well so maybe RG has similar attributes. |
