New Guy From Rankin Inlet, Nunavut, Canada
Hi all!
I have owned preowned datejust for 15 years and am in the process of researching the purchase of my second - the Day Date President with white dial and roman numerals - aaahhhhhh!!! I am also a huge cigar fan and smoke a lovely Cuban whenever I can. From what I have seen already I will be loving it here! Chris |

Welcome polargar from a fellow Canadian.
One day I'll buy a Day Date... one day. ...Don't suppose there's an authorized dealer in Rankin Inlet? |

Hey Rob - I'm a Chris if you were meaning me? It is pouring rain at the moment but really can't complain in general about the temps - nothing like southern climates of course, but still not so bad.

The DD President in yellow gold is my fantasy at this point - I'll look beyond that when it is on my wrist

Hi there Chris,
I'm from Cape Town, South Africa. I can honestly say that a gold DD President is a fantastic watch, but just so expensive here in our country if one had to buy it brand new. It just has a class and feel all of it's own. Just to think that when I bought my Air King Date back in 1980, I paid the equivalent of $75 for it which was R600 South African currency. Brand new here in S.A. the equivalent of the Air King Date is the Oyster Perpetual Date which sells for about R45 000. I was told a couple of weeks ago that my Air King Date could sell for about R22 000 now. What a great investment. Perhaps, you could go the second hand route which could save you lots of money. A refurbished second hand President would still be really nice. Hope you get what you are looking for some time soon. Regards, Rory |
