1st watch incoming SS black dial Daytona for my friend

If this wasn't happening i wouldn't believe it myself. I cant believe my AD did this for my HS buddy but he's flying out here Sunday from the SFBA with his wife to pick up the watch. He's never bought anything from her or met irl before. I had to spend ~100k before i got the black dial from her a couple of years ago. I'll report back on sunday. Damn things must be getting slow? This isn't just at msrp, its the standard msrp + 10k jewelry spend that i had to spend for my 2 daytonas. I did pick up a nib/slider 2022 cookie monster full set from a local grey for $29k yesterday and i was there to check out an AP RO but couldn't pass on the 2022 CM vs the 15300st from 2007 for $1k less ask

I hope they wanted the jewellery they had to drop the 10k on, as if not it’s not the fantastic story it first appears.

You spent 100k (hopefully Rubles?) to be given the ‘honour’ of buying a black dial Daytona? Ouch! They can be had for around £10k over retail…

Wow, that’s incredible! It’s amazing your AD could do this for your high school buddy, especially without a prior purchase history. That kind of allocation is rare, so things might really be slowing down in the market.

Also, congratulations on picking up the 2022 “Cookie Monster” – at $29k, that’s a fantastic grab, especially with a full set and nearly new condition. Sounds like the stars aligned on this one! Looking forward to hearing how it all goes on Sunday.

my all in with this ad has been around 150k with maybe ~35k of it being unwanted jewelry. I ended up selling ~3 of the watches to greys in 2022 so that reduced my additional spend by half that amount. I'm happy I got to experience the watches, completely out of my system at market price. I'd def re-buy if i was able to get at msrp but my additional spend days are likely over because the AD got me everything i wanted on my list except for a blue skydweller. I'm not gonna pay msrp + 10k on that when i see them on moda for ~20k
