Hey all

Calling all Everest owners.

I know the original “Cory Richards” Everest prototype came with a bracelet but I’m curious if anyone has bought, VC has produced a bracelet for the limited edition Everest Dual Times or Chronos? Or tried the SS bracelet (I’m sure that looks odd)

Thanks!
Mike

Hey Mike,
The stainless steel regular overseas bracelet fits just fine with the Everest. I do prefer it on rubber, by far.
But it still works and you wouldn’t know the difference between titanium or SS.
See for yourself!

Any ref recommendations for guys with smaller wrists if one wants a rubber strap chrono? The two first ones in Giangos' post seem nice! A slim, sporty chrono would be cool.

Just thought I would share a fun story. My partner and I were in LA the past week and decided to pop into Rodeo Drive boutique since we were in the area. Out of curiosity, I asked if the new 34.5mm Overseas was available as we missed out on it in Florence and the wait time for the 4600V in our home boutique had an uncertain lead time.

To our surpise, Jolin from Rodeo Drive boutique served us and checked and found that there was a piece in Miami. Immediately we placed a deposit and Jolin arranged for it to be shipped to the boutique. We went about our stuff and made an appointment the following week. I must say Jolin and the team has been stellar and welcoming and I’m sure I would like to continue working with her.

While sizing it and learning how to swap the straps, I realised that it is quite versatile as a men’s piece too. So much so I think I might want one instead of the 4520V now.

Once again a shoutout to Jolin and the team at Rodeo Drive boutique for being so hospitable and passionate.

I was bored today so I went out to look at same watches. These two were lovely in person. The tourbillon is available to purchase while the retrograde is available to order with a few months wait.

My heart still really wants the tourbillon skeleton but all the price increases makes it tough to swallow. I'm not particularly interested in the tourbillon itself but the openworked hand finishing and the peripheral rotor are fascinating to me and something I don't have yet in my collection. Maybe one day...

For those of you who put a deposit down for the 4520v, how long did it take once deposit was provided?

No it was the steel one, they didn't have any titanium models there to try.

That's a beauty!

Picked up on Sunday from my local AD in Amsterdam and super happy with the watch. Finishing, feeling on the hand, possibility to quickly change the strap. Just beautiful! I also ordered white rubber strap for summer and will be looking for an orange one on a secondary market.

It is interesting that VC is no longer providing traditional wood box with the watch. Instead you will get a travel pouch for the watch and separate for collection of straps.

Who know if the lug to lug is smaller on the 4520v than the 4500v ?

New strap — since i didn’t like the smooth calfskin.

On the lug-to-lug question the old and new bracelet and straps work on both the 4500 and 4520 (and same for dual time and chronograph). So there’s no difference in width although there really aren’t lugs in the mechanism—it’s a notch.

One difference is that the new system tapers more, so the deployant is different. So if you have an old one, and you buy new straps for the new system, you’ll need a new deployant.
