Depends on dial …

Pikachu is actually YG watch with YG starburst dial with black subdials. I prefer the 116518 version of that watch over the 126518 version.

The Pikachu is desirable so will take longer than YG plain black dial.

PN version 116518 was also highly prized, but 126518 not so much due to Rolex not continuing the red chronograph hand and putting YG subdials hand (116518 version had black subdial hands) on YG subdials making it nearly impossible to read.

Same story for WG and RG.

There were some really cool exotic dials in the 11651x model, like MOP diamond markers on WG model, that were really expensive on the secondary market.

Anyone know who made up the nickname "Pikachu" and why the IRNC (International Rolex Nickname Committee) sanctioned it?

I agree. I have the 12 version of the pikachu and honestly it’s nearly impossible to just glance at the watch to tell time. Seriously thinking of trading it.

Hang in there. I got one a few months ago. I think it was about a 5 month wait. But there was a significant spend in those 5 months and I think I just got lucky.

You are waiting on what is reportedly a very popular configuration. It’s a beautiful watch and I hope you get it soon.
FWIW, I waited several months for mine at my AD where I have a decent spend history and >8 year relationship with my SA and the AD owner.
