Ladies 1920's Telephone Dial - advice please
Hello - I have a question for the watchmakers regarding a true vintage piece.....
My wife has fallen in love with the 1920's style telephone dial Rolex cocktail watches. My question regards the availability of parts for one of these. She intends to wear it daily, taking care to remove it for hand washing etc. Can I reasonably expect the watch to keep decent time (within say 30 seconds a day?) and come service time are parts (such as mainsprings) available for these? The watches are fairly common but I don't want to end up with something that looks nice but lasts 3 months then goes belly-up with no possibility of repair. The watch will be purchased with the intention of wearing it, not purely as a collectors piece. Thanks John john
