haha,,if only Rolex decide to have this combo......would be a fantastic seller. Makes me want to buy a 36mm DJ just so I can have this combo and put the 36mm DJ on a black croc strap.

Ahhh,,,,there I go again, putting on my thinking cap. That always seem to cost me lots of $$$$$$.

I was quite curious about the look when I saw your post - but, I must admit, it looks great! It suits the watch very well indeed.
Cheers,

So a little Jubiliee / GMT II education...

Didn't the Pepsi GMT or GMT II offer the Jubilee as an option way back when? Or has this been a mod since day one???

Yes, you are right. Back in the '80s, the GMT as well as the GMT-II were being offered on both bracelets.

Of course, the Jubilee back then was the older version with HOLLOW centre links and open clasp. That bracelet never really caught on because of its stretch problems.

This new Super Jubilee does not have the stretch problem any longer because of the solidness of the links.

For "Pre-C" versions, you could indeed get the standard jubilee bracelet with traditional "stamped" clasp. The GOLD Pre-C GMTs did in fact come on the optional SuperJubilee. The 18K GMT I once owned in 1980 had an 18K Super on it.

You can find many "Turdmaster (Pre-C) GMTs" also on a 2T standard jubilee...

All as a factory option or option at the AD to changeout the OYSTER for jubilee...

Thanks JJ. So Rolex deemed it an "official" match back in the day.

Well, $1300 may be a tad steep...but it does make the watch "pop" a bit and differentiate it from the others out there.

Yes, it was an official option......the Jubilee being a tad more expensive.

The US Dollar price is cheap compared to the price in UK which is a whopping £850!!!

Well, I foolishly ordered that Submariner Story book by Mondani - from an online Horologist book site in the UK. Gulp!

Then I found it on a US Vintage site for a helluvalot less.

Oh well, looking forward to the Submariner P*rn. Will be a great help as I go on a Red Sub Grail quest!

yes

probably not

according to the sales person, the DJ2 has a larger, heavier case, and with a jubilee, it may not be strong enough....

The classic jubilee worn correctly could handle hold up to most any watch much less the super jubilee.
