.......Rolex..... annum 2010......ante portas

2009 was definately a bad year and to tell you the truth
I am not sorry to see it go, a very big dissappointment indeed.

My only satisfaction is that Carla Bruni is still around
and as long as this gorgeous woman sets the asphalt on fire
I am happy...yeah you got it right... I go ga-ga for Carla
http://www.perfectpeople.net/photo-p...media-0241.jpg

But guys..GUYS.. back to my other favorite subject...Rolex watches
AND...the all important Rolex prices
(I am an optimist - annum 2010 will be better than '09).

About Rolex prices my predictions are that the two tone Sub ceramics
will be selling in the high 7k's, the DJ-II 41mm stainless will be strong
well into the year with small discounts and the DD-II in a neutral territory.
New sport models are selling but the regular Milgausses are strugling
for air, also the deep sea still strong but at a discount.
Used Daytonas always in demand and GMT's both ceramics and 16710 16700
16760 etc...very very strong if priced right.

The vintage models are stagnant at this moment and to make a sale you got to sell
on the cheap.
All in all... most modern new Rolex watches are hovering at around 30%
discount with few exceptions.

The bone heads at Rolex S.A. are still fighting their petty wars and trying
to establish even more micky mouse rules and regulations for 2010
of course none of them is talking about superb customer service and how
to improve the relationship between sellers, service and the most important
creature...yes you...the customer with money to spend.
I hope the new guy...calls me and ask how I can help him with that issue.!

In 2009 I made less money than 2008..no kidding
so if in 2010 I will make the same as 2009 I will be a happy guy..
for some reason I do better every last year ...

Let's hope for the best and world peace..

Before I forget ya all...
Let me know if you need in depth info for any particular Rolex model
I will be delighted to help..

Whazzup, TK ?

I think there are quite a few of us here with businesses that failed to equal last year's revenues. At the moment, I'm going for a tie, and will consider that fortuitous.

Let's all hope for a better 2010 .

It's too bad Rolex corporate service ctr. in USA won't help out those of us with Rolexes that are older models. I hope the new boss fixes that.

Guess that reflects about 100% how I feel about 2009, very happy to see it go. I lost my dear mother in this bastard year , business was indeed lower then 2008 and much lower then the years before . Anyway I'm happy to have added 1 Rolex and exhanged an old for a same new one . The wife will have gotten the infamous wild animal Daytona by Xmas and silently hope she will buy me the SS DJ2. If not I will have 2010 to get it myself .
I would like to wish you all a prosperous new year and let's all commit to this new years resolution : we will all acquire another Rolex to add to or start our collection .
Good Health to you all and your loved ones and long live Rolex.
