Who has broken a GMT IIC bezel and how did you do it?

I've seen three broken/cracked bezels pictures on this forum and others, along with two pictures of fallen out, but not broken, bezel inserts, and one with the entire bezel fallen off, all GMT-IIC's. Not to mention this talk about faulty welds on the bracelet somewhere. Don't know what to think.
