Looking for a place for watch service

hey all,

awsome forums .... never knew this place existed. lots of great information.

well after reading i find that i have done my watch a great injustice. i haven't serviced it since i got it ..... over 15 years ago i never knew that this was something that needed to be done. i was with the old school, if it ain't broke ... don't fix it.

so now i'll take it in. but where? does anyone know where i could take this in for service? i live in the Los Angeles area.

thanks for your help

hello Brandt, welcome to the Forum, the Automatic Movements needs to go to service cause they are gears and they need oild and stuffs like that, just like a Car that needs Oil ever 3 or 4 months or every 5,000KM, this movements needs this maintenance as well every 5 - 8 years, just find a Rolex Authorized Dealer arround your Zip code or City and just take it there, i dont know how long they will keep your watch but they should do it, sometimes the price increeses if they have to change some pieaces or gears.

There used to be Beverly Hills Service Center, but now if you want it officially serviced, the nearest would be SFO.

I have an M Series 1000 Ft Black Dial Sub purchased in 2008. Doing fine. However, gains about 6 secs every day (in 24 hours); do I need to get it serviced???

Wow! The Beverly Hills Service Center closed? I didn't know. I live close to San Francisco, so that would be the one for me, but not long ago someone from Southern California asked and I told him about the Beverly Hills one. Thanks!

Hello all...............the Rolex service ctr. in San Francisco is fantastic...it's a licsensed Rolex service ctr., but independent of Rolex corporate. They can get parts etc. from Rolex Dallas(US parts HQ) and will work on vintage Rolexes...which corporate Rolex service cts. in USA won't. At one time there were quite a few of these licsensed "indies" now only a couple.
They have worked on my 3 vintage Rolexes, done terrific work.

You can try South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa. They have a "Rolex" Store though I am not sure if its an official store. I am pretty sure you can drop of your watch there if you are not comfortable with shipping it to SFO.

Sorry, No. I've never used them. I've used Rolex Dallas.

COSC specs are -4 to +6 seconds per 24 hour period, so your Sub is just fine.
