Since we have stories about snobs today

This is my LV snob story.
I was living in Dallas working for Fina Oil and Chem back in 1991 and had
two girlfriends at the same time , One was from Mexico City and she worked for Fina as a Geologist the other
was married to a Lawyer and played around...with me....while he worked late into the nights....it was hard to keep one from finding out about the other
but I got caught a few months later.
Anyway I was going to get them both a LV purse for Christmas and while I was standing at Neiman's a Tall Beautiful blond was buying about 25k worth of
LV luggage for helself.
This other poor guy like me was buying some LV and was hitting up on the tall blonde about how he hates to spend all that money on LV and the airlines
will bang them up and ruin them.
She turned to him and said "I never have that problem.."
The guy look confused and she said "I only fly on private jets"
He shut up and looked away.
I told the guy that was hitting up on her after she left....."If she was that rich she would have a man servant out buying it for her"
and not standing inline with us common people.

Im very sorry I thought I had switched to the "open" forum....

Padi edit
And what has this post to do with Rolex watches, its clearly stated on the forum headers what can and what cannot be posted in individual forums.
Moved to open forum.

great story that!

i had a "small" story to tell..

a few years ago i was doing some contracting work at a client's office with another collegue. i was still pretty keen on cars back then and i had a pretty decent parking spot in the basement.

there is this snobby lady at the client's office who always dress nicely and apparently has eyes for nice things & was never quite happy for us to be there (have no ideas why, we were in a different department)...

anyway, to cut a long story short, a whole bunch of us were going out for one of those end of the year work lunch thingy.... and they decided to take a couple of work cars, which were on the same floor as my car. so we all walked out of the lift towards the work cars and when i got out of the lift i thought there was a piece of paper on the rear windscreen of my car, so i walk towards it to see what it was... as i got closer, i realised it was something reflecting onto it and i walked away and joined the group...

so this snobby lady said, in front of the group and towards my direction - nice car hey, you wish you own a car like that... and i was thinking WTF is wrong with her.

then the golden moment came, this guy from the client's office told her, in front of the group - that is Eric's Audi TT.

Look into private jet companies... to fly somewhere for the weekend may only cost an extra 500 to 1000 round trip than flying first class. The question then is... is it worth the convience? I woud say so if you have the xtra cheese

Try $5,000 - $10,000 more.

Even when one is super wealthy, there are some things that should be picked and purchased in person - I'm not sure if LV does home displays. I don't know if anyone here would trust a servant/wife/family member to pick out his shoes or watches.

Back in the 1980s, I had just made the biggest mistake of my life which was driving back and forth on the weekend to Cape Cod thru the Buzzards Bay Bridge (anyone familiar with Buzzards Bay Bridge in the summer knows what I mean). I was walking into the lobby of the Wanamaker House in Philly, beat to hell and pissed at the world because of the traffic when a 6' 3" blonde beauty queen with 4" hooker heels comes racing at me.
As it turns out, she was a pretty good friend of mine who was the biggest "golddigger" in the world. She would tell me stories of the guys she would take for obsene amounts of money all the time. So I told her I was getting back from the Cape and about the traffic, when she screams that she too just got back from the Cape 1 hour ago.
She goes on to tell me, her and her new found friend, who was the epitimoe of a "main line" Philiadelphian, looks, dress and speech had just flew back on his private jet. She introduced him to me and whole time talking to him, all I could think was, you poor SOB, If you only knew!

I raffed. There's no such thing as the Buzzards Bay bridge. Its either the Bourne Bridge or the Sagamore Bridge. And I know what you mean.

Whatever the name of that bridge is going into the Cape, I hope I never see that bridge again. To get from Rhode Island to Dennis on a summer saturday it took me 6 hours!

Thats just a ploy by us Massholes to keep out the tourists.

You should have taken the Cape Cod Cannal Tunnel.. Maybe next time.
