My Snow Day in Dallas

I woke up this morning and found it to be snowing in Dallas. Not the light snow that melts as soon as it touches the ground, but the big flakes that covers everything. So I decided to grab the camera and take some snapshots.

10:36 AM - From my first client's window and no I'm not just getting in. I've been working for 2 hrs already.

02:18 PM - The building lost power, my laptop is dead and I only have my iPhone to connect to the internet, so I decided to take another photo from another window before I head out to another client that actually has power and internet. You can see my car in the parking lot.

03:02 PM - This was me last year in Port Alberni, Canada and there was a lot more snow then this. I'm glad that I don't have to shovel snow down here.

03:03 PM - My car after sitting out there in a little over 2 hrs after lunch.

03:05 PM - Just because

03:10 PM - Driving to the next client. Notice the thermostat says 30 F.

03:15 PM - I saw a bunch of people building this as I drove into the parking lot. That must have been a long smoke break.

09:45 PM - Leaving work finally. Nothing like a 13 hr day to find 6 hrs of snow on the car.

10:08 PM - William Square mustangs

10:10 PM - I like how the snow looks

It was AWESOME today, wasn't it? I left for work at 7am and there was 4 inches of the stuff on my car! When I left work at 2:30pm, there was ANOTHER 4 inches of snow on it! I love it!

Weird, snow in Dallas.
Those mustangs are beautiful, and so are the gratuitous watch photos!

I have a good friend in Lubbock that I have yet to check in with, but I gave him a good ribbing back in December when got about 8 inches. Snow in Texas must be a rare treat indeed. Enjoy it before it melts. Here in the NE, on the other hand....

You guys can have it. I am sick of it. I am suprised Dallas didn't just shut-down with that minuscule amount of precipitation.

I need to move south.

I'm envious! We have had perhaps the equivalent of that all winter. Last year we had about 2.5-3 feet on the ground this time. What gives

It most definitely was NOT a miniscule amount! We got, depending on what area of the Dallas-Fort Worth area, anywhere from 7 to 20 inches! Last I checked, that's not miniscule. It reminded me of my time in Germany!!!

it was certainly a change from the norm....i think the dallas-ft. worth area was in 8"-12" of total snow fall yesterday.

Great pics!

On another topic, with all the snow the country has been getting lately, you don't hear much complaining about global warming right now!!

Global Warming is not simply about "warming". Better term is: Climate Change.

The official record is 11.4 inches of snow for Dallas although other areas got more.

RWD drive was fun last night when I did donuts in the client's parking lot, but not so much this morning with the snow and slush. I did a bit of fish tailing where the roads were not shoveled and actually got stuck in the parking lot of my wife's office. I had to remember to disable traction control to get out. I did slide a bit trying to stop on my way to a client this morning. At least the highways and main roads were well shoveled and traffic was pretty light.
