What I don't get is why anyone would like to pay that amount just for the case back alone ? I can only presume a Comex to be worth anything if you have the original dial and the case number that goes with the batch of Comex' issued . Crazy ...
He syas he has the watch and there is a watch attached to the case back, he would end up with a Comex without the original case back ... nearly worthless . Some common sense would let us believe this has to be a scam . |

Provenance is everything when it comes to a watch or parts for a watch of this caliber.

The only reasons I can think of is if he put an aftermarket caseback on it (See through window), and is unloading the spare. Maybe he's parting the entire watch out, or that's the only real part on the thing.
I would doubt it but possible. |

It may look real, but something isn't right........ya know. If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

You would have to be crazy to put a clear caseback on a Comex..... one of the main attractions of this watch (other than the unique dial) is the issued/custom caseback.

He states that the case back was a replacement so the number doesn't match his watch.
