Explorer II in action
Hardly an adventure but taken the day before yesterday on the BP Central Azeri Production Platform - Caspian Sea, off Baku......very windy out here....arrived by boat (they stopped using choppers a few months ago).....waiting to get off today but the wind could easily stop the boats from picking us up.....we have to transfer from the platform upper deacks to the boat by means of a "Frog" which is a contraption not unlike a fairground ride which is moved between platform and boat by the platform crane.....it has a grating base so you can see straight down and nothing but fresh air in front of you when you are strapped into your transfer seat!!!....not for the faint of heart......all good fun....or so I have to tell myself.....
