Sub Question

Having an argument with my friend about what year rolex stopped putting holes in the case of the sub?

It was in 2002 end of Y series early 2003,the Non lugs holes started to make there appearence on most models, but not all, non date sub still has lug holes.

Only the Sub Date got the no-hole treatement, and as Padi said, ~2002/03

When did the SEL come into play...98/99 on the 16610? I'd love to trade my D for an SEL/lug holes version.

Yup my Sub Date Y2XXXXX from 2002 has lug holes. They stopped making em with lug holes soon after

i believe the a-serials on the sub date have sel... that seems about right. so for the 16610, a-, p-, k-, and some y-serials have the lug hole/sel combo.

while i have a newer exp2, i sure do admire the lug hole/sel combo. the best of both worlds.

My Sub Y series is lug holes and SELs.....cool i didnt know they were collectible to a certain degree. :)
