Rolex White Dials - the same purity in all models?

hey guys just looking for some info here. I've recently found myself smitten by the EXPY II white dial but not the entire watch. I'm still leaning towards the DJ II and the white stick dial has become a VERY attractive option.

My questions is are the two whites the same? I've only scene the Expy in person but not the white DJ II.

Also - will the DJ II dial age similar to the Expy - such that it looses the pure bright white look and takes on a creamy tone?

I'm hoping it will remain bright, pure white!

Any pictures of white dial Rollies would be greatly appreciated!!

The dial on my Turn-O-Graph is about as white as you can get. Perhaps you can check out the Rolex site to compare it to the DJ II that interests you. Try comparing both watches with pictures from the Rolex site, not my picture compared to the Rolex site DJ II picture.

I think all whites turn creamy with enough time. It takes awhile though:

What material does Rolex use for their white dials? I ask because in reality, there is no reason why the dial should lose it's color. The dial and components underneath the crystal are all sealed, hence they are water resistance/waterproof.

BTW, your watch just showed up in the FS section and from the photos it looks like the dial is the same bright white as mine.

I think it also depends on lighting.

Second time today for this one, to me it was not only the white dial but the onyx markers and the red writing sealed the deal.

To me, white dials are clean, simple and elegant. Some pics for you (Expy is no longer in my collection....and I DO miss it!)

white seems young yet timeless to me which is what I'm looking for. At 23 I want the watch for the rest of my life :)

is that right? or, maybe you were looking at a late 80s cream colored dial Explorer II? or, maybe i don't know what i'm talking about?
