I heard someplace that Rolex can't currently make a stable red ceramic bezel. I have no idea what they're trying to say here. Will the bezel blow up because it's red? I don't think that the chemical properties of whatever dyes they use differ THAT much!
Is there a chemist here who can explain? I feel like this is just an excuse they made up to explain the fact that they probably never will make it. (It cliches with their current marketing) |

..Of course it's possible to do a two-tone ceramic bezel.either one or two piece. Rolex just can't be bothered with the engineering since they sell all the black bezeled GMTC'S they can produce. .. I'd like to see a coke ceramic. And you're right, If Rolex DID offer a pepsi version of the ceramic bezel, you can just bet that the blue would be the same horrible baby blue that we've been saddled with on the subs..An effete look to a tool watch can not work.....Here's hoping for a coke ceramic GMTC and a return to cobalt.

would be difficult as there is also the change of green hand and writing to contend with...in those terms it couldn't be interchangeable...which is ultimately what makes the original so appealing

Photoshopped, and to be honest, that doesn't look good. The colors are too light if you ask me.
