I've just bought 2 Rolex 1601s, any comments?

Hi there, been collecting watches for a while now have a few Tags and and an Omega, but have today gone up in the world with 2 x 1601 models.
One is 18k white gold / ss with oyster bracelet, the other 18k yellow gold / ss with jubilee bracelet. Any comments at all? They look genuine to me. The one question i do have is on the jubilee bracelet is the yellow part gold? I know the bezel is.

the two tone serial dates to 67/68
the stainless dates to 72/73

yes that's the thing with old watches not easy to get paperwork... does anyone know if the jubilee bracelet is yello metal or gold?

The Rolex crown looks strange on the one on the left...?

The hour markers on the left one is also a model I haven't seen before...?

I'm no expert.

I'm not sure if the picture is blurry, but the Rolex crown at 12 is completely different on the left and right watch.

FYI: I know nothing about Datejusts. so don't spam me.

Looks like two different "J"s (the font is different for the word Datejust.)

ah yes i see the two tone has a line at the top of the J and noticed the oyster perpetual shows oyster-perpetual and the ss doesn't

I think you have 2 great watches, I looked at the gentlemans feedback and I would not worry at all.

The DJ TT watch has a solid gold bezel and also solid gold centre links. Either 14k or 18k depending on the jubilee bracelet model. It should be marked with the model number e.g. 62523H.18 The 18 denotes 18k gold.
Lovely watches.
I have the DJ TT model.

Great Watches!

PS: Remember guys, the watches have different periods of manufacture. So the fonts and dials differ a lot. No worries, Kieran, I think they're real.

Gaby

PSS: The Dials are Pie-Pan Dials on both... :)

thanks yes it shows 18, to me the gold looks a bit rose coloured but then it is a few years old... :)

strangest thing is the older of the two has the hack mechanism...
