I don't know what you did, Dennis, but all I get are the little x boxes - no pics. So I can't ban you until I see the pics. Or is that the idea?

The pics are coming up for me, Ed. He's merely replaced the black bezel on his GMT-II with a Pepsi one!!

It is just a switch for a while. I just wanted to mix things up a little. That is what makes the GMT so nice, three watches in one. maverick

Very nice Mav, always good to have options and that Pepsi is stunning. Is it still the daily wearer for you?

Exactly the same way I am going with mine, however the black and a replacement black/red insert will follow the Pepsi shortly.

Looks great Maverick! How difficult was it to swap out the bezel insert? It's amazing how different the GMT II looks in black vs pepsi....love them both!

The first was an experience, I lost the click spring and spent the next 6 hours looking for it which of course I never found. Fortunately my AD will order parts for me and I just put it on until I got the new spring. =( Now, I did this one in 10 min. LOL You just follow one of the tutorials, one is from Jocke, and it is easy. I have done fine mechanical work in the past so I was not too worried. Just be very careful and have a nice work area set up. The insert goes in last so it can be aligned perfectly. =) maverick

So it's not difficult to pop off the bezel without scratching the case?

I have been wearing the 1680 of course but yes the GMT is my 'main' watch so far. I wore my YM golfing Friday and was spotted. LOL It is still my #1 but I do not wear it daily. I doubt any of my present watches will ever leave. I love them all and they all have their place so to speak. YM for dressy or just when the feeling hits me. The GMT II because it takes a good punishment and just keep on ticking. I do not worry so much about scratches as it does not show much. =) maverick

Sam,

As Dennis said there is a tutorial by Jocke and what he does and I would recommend as well is to put a small bit of tap on the case where you lever.

It is exteremely easy to remove and as Dennis said, about a 10 min job.

Thinking of removing the fixed explorer bezel,Hmmm

Here is the tutorial. When poping off the bezel, be careful and the spring will stay in place. =) maverick

Now that photobucket is back up and running, I can see what nasty things happened to your GMT ovenight. What mean SOB did that to a great looking watch, Dennis? I would try to find him and beat him to a bloody pulp for ruining your watch.

And you can rest assured, D, that this watch will NEVER be flipped.
Unlike some other people we know who profess undying love for their latest acquisition until it goes bye-bye in favor of their next undying love.

I can read a 'hint' when I see one!! But, yes, I have to admire your undying love for the all black GMT-II. Undoubtedly, it's not only a good looking watch, but also a very useable one with its professional features.

Frankly, I love TT watches the most....yes, even more than SS. I still miss my TT Blue Sub and honestly if I had the funds, would buy it again...in a heartbeat!

Just that the TT Blue YM caught my fancy so bad and that solid gold bezel just blew all the other TTs away....so I had to sell off the Blue Sub.

Let me also say that if Rolex hadn't come out with the TT YM, the TT Blue Sub would still be in my possession....that's how much I loved it. Besides, you guys know how much I love BLUE
