SS Subs Out According to my AD
I dropped by my AD today by chance (Ben Bridge) to get on the wait list for the new Explorer......low and behold I was told there are two new SS Subs in their system! Rolex is really getting them out early this year after Basil!

I am not surprised that Rolex will be shipping the new SS Ceramic sub soon. It is not as if this a a totally new watch. They have been using the exact same movement in the all gold and TT Ceramic Sub and the exact same case in the TT Ceramic Sub.
The new SS sub is the same watch as those with some of the cosmetic parts made in different metal or are painted in a different color. The only things they have to manufacture in different metal/paint are the dial, hands and date wheel, the SS stem, the SS bezel, the Ceramic bezel insert with the titanium numbers and the SS bracelet center links and clasp.

FWIW, I received an invitation in the mail just yesterday from the Rolex boutique in Paris to attend a 2010 Baselworld model meet and greet on May 17-24 "before they are introduced".

After Basel, I spoke to the Rolex store in Costa Mesa and they said the new sub would be out in May.

Seems awfully quick for an AD to get the SS sub ceramic.

I called the local Ben Bridge store here in CA since I am looking to get a new SS Sub and the sales rep said that he spoke to Rolex rep and they are expecting to get them by July.

What amazes me with Rolex they bring out new slightly modded old models. And yet it take months for them to show up for sale at ADs,but expect they got to get rid of of the currant models first. But if a manufacturer launch say a new car that model will be in the showrooms for immediate sale.

Well , after I read your post yesterday . I checked with the notary clerk in the village where we sold our house 18 months ago. They still recuperate mail for us , and yes there is mail from Dubail at Place Vendome . I can only presume it would be the same thing .

..........No. The cars you see at motorshows take months to land at dealers.....Example Volvo S60 , launched in Geneva ( march) , with dealers receiving first intro cars in July.

I am looking forward to their arrival whenever it be! I am leaning towards the new LV--the green is growing on me!

Interesting! Well I hope my AD was not pulling my chain, but I have been dealing with him for years. Oh, well, all of these dates sound better than the standard November/December distribution in time for Christmas!

Hmm i asked my ad what price i would get the lv for.( i meant the old one, but i just asked about sub lv) He answered me a that it around 7000$ but that i can have 25% off, which should be the new lv since the old lv is much cheaper. So i guess we should be able to order the new sub right now!
