One watch kind of a guy...
So I’ve recently been thinking about becoming a one watch kind of guy. In the next few months my new TT ceramic Sub account will reach 100% and I’ll be able to add the watch to my small but growing collection, right next to my GMT-IIc. But I am craving a Day-Date II and am thinking of selling the GMT-IIc and saving up a little more cash and pulling the trigger. Thoughts? Could a WG DDII make you a one watch guy/girl? How about YG? Can you wear the DDII formally as well as casually?

I wear my 36mm DayDate formally and casually....I have even been fly fishing wearing my DayDate!!!......but I am sorry to say the DayDate II does zero for me....each to their own as they say......the Ceramic Sub and the GMTIIc would be great in my opinion, I would far rather have those two....

Could never have just one watch now.. Having a few allows me to keep falling in love...
I wouldn't sell any at this stage. Keep saving for the DD if that's what you're craving....

every time i've tried adding a second watch, i don't like the results. there's something a bit more spartan to having only one watch that i ultimately enjoy. but there's nothing spartan about yellow or white gold... go for what you want - it can always sell later.

See avatar.
<---- Pt 36mm DD with glacier dial. I like the GMT IIc. Almost got one in yellow gold, but it just seemed too blingy. The DD in glacier, just fell in love with it and took it home. |

I love variety, and could never be happy with just one watch especially with a II-C and a Sub-C in my line up.
Having said that, I would move heaven and earth for a grail watch. (just don't expect to stop at one grail )

Don't sell... just save a bit longer and you can add it to your collection..

If I were only able to have one watch, the SS GMT IIc would be it...
Cheers
