Lug Holes
For those of us in the UK this could be a question about your ears, however it is Rolex related.
I wonder if any one could tell me if you would still find the holes, on the lugs of a new Rolex case. I'm talking about the holes where the bracelet joins the case by the spring bars. The reason I ask is that I have seen a Submariner No Date 14060M for sale that says it is a 2010 model, but the case has holes. Quick and accurate replies are required from the experts out there. I will the add more depending on the replies. Regards |

The Sub 14060M is the only Rolex that still has lug holes.

Thanks for the quick replies. I saw watch for sale which a friend is interested in. I was a bit dubious due to the holes. Mine does not have them, although my old Datejust did.
I will pass on the good news to him. |

im a proud member of the lug holes with SEL club!!!..
lug holes and SEL.. lug holes were phased out in sub dates in 2003/4 around the F serials. SEL's (or the 93253 bracelet) were introduced on TT subs at 2000 P and then to the sub date (93250) a year or so later. as above, even the newest 14060M sub still carries lug holes and non SEL bracelet (93150?) having seen neither of these upgrades.. |

Well, since it became a praise-the-lugholes-thread after all, I might as well contribute
Y-series, last of the pierced Explorer II's. SEL-bracelet seldom in use.

You don't, they will have to be converted into pocket watches... ;)
Who knows. We can always hope.
