Thinking about trading my speedy reduced for an airking. any thoughts?

I guess this could have been posted in the omega section but it has to do with rolex as well.

So im looking to get something a little more low key like the airking(oyster bracelet, smooth bezel, plain face).

Dont get me wrong I like the reduced, but sometimes I cant help but ask myself is it trying to be something its not? Plus the non-screw down caseback/crown makes me uneasy for some reason.

If I can get a decent trade in value, and can find an airking i like, my mind is pretty much made up (I know, I know, I just answered my own question). Just looking for some input from you guys as to what you would do.

Cheers

Why not a SS Datejust - that way you get the date feature and a much higher demand watch in future?

Well...in a way, you are trading a modified classic for a very basic Rolex...I would try to trade / pay up for a Date Just as well - or perhaps an Explorer I. MHO

Good move. Now if it was a Speedy Pro it may be different.

Make that three for EX1.

X4, 5 and 6

Not knocking the Air-King but the Expy has a more classic look and a wonderful history.

Well, an Explorer will set you back more than an AK, but the Exp is a classic, elegant and understated.

That being said, the AK has a nice history, too, so, if one floats your boat, don't hesitate!

It's a Rolex. I could be wrong and if I am someone will chime in, but I believe theAir-King you are considering uses the same movement...

I have a Speedmaster Automatic Reduced model and take it from me, you're better off just keeping it.

I'd go w/ either the DJ or Exp. Or if lacking the date is not an issue, I'd go with the Sub No-Date.
Good luck.

I would definetely trade the reduced for a stick indiced AK. I have a 1981 blue dial AK and absolutely love it. If you're going to keep the reduced maybe think about saving a few dollars and trading it + $ for the 3570.
