day date

Can you use the green 3M Scothbrite pad on an gold day date bracelet to clean it on the mat parts to the gold and is that the right pad to use, and where do you get them from ?

I use toothpaste and a very used soft toothbrush.
Best to remove the watch and just do it.
It should make a difference.
Better still, take a picture of Before and After and post it here.
