Just got my 16613 yesterday

I just got my 16613 yesterday (pictures will come soon), and I'm very happy with the watch, the finish is top notch!

But after wearing it for a day, I feel like the gold look, isn't really my style. I have a SS sub. So i'm thinking about trading for a Milgauss. What do you guys think?

I'm confused...you say you're very happy with the watch..and then that you want to trade it.....
so you can't be happy then...

I think the watch looks great, and I love the finish. But on my wrist I don't feel like gold is my style.

I love lots of watches, but not all the watches are my style.

Maybe make such a move after more than one day?

Hmmn....well..if you are really not happy with gold then it was an expensive way to find out!

I would wait and see ...follow the good advice below

Flipped mine for a 16600 - just could not do the gold thing. Much happier with the Sea Dweller but there's no denying the 16613 is still a great watch.

I think you have to give it some time. There was obviously something in the watch that attracted you to but it in the first place. What you are feeling could be buyers remorse. If you feel the same after a month or so, then flip it.

My view is that, gold or not, it's a more attractive Rolex than the Milgaus.

I have worn SS Sub, then a SS Sub LV for years and then just got a TT 116613LN. It did take a few days for it to grow on me, but it has and it works well in all environments. No matter what you choose, good luck!

I agree that you should give it more time. I've tried TT twice (same model) and just couldn't do it, but each time I gave it a few months.

Be sure before you let it go.

I have one.

I LOVE it!

Itīs my Sea/Sun/Sunday/Snow/Sand/Special/Saturday night watch.

appropriately itīs named the "Sub"

;-)

My advice:

put it away. Now, but for at least some weeks!

Carry it only occasionally.

Watch ( ;-)) how it grows on you!

Say to yourself: "itīs just because itīs the easiest readable dial / watch I have ever encountered!"

;-)

( thatīs true! )

Itīs an ICON! Do not give it away easily - they do not make īem anymore!

Just my 2 cts, Hermann

Give it a little more chance...I may just end up your favourite!!!!
You obviously liked something about it to start with.....My advice, wear it a little longer to make sure before you consider trading it!!

I agree with everyone saying to give it a little time. At first I felt it was too flashy and was a little self-conscious about it but after wearing it for a few weeks, I got used to it's attractiveness. The bluesy was the first watch that sparked my interest in the Rolex brand so I was also overwhelmed by just owning one. At any rate, you'll get used to it.

Give it some time. I have both a black and a blue 16613, and I love both of them. Personally, a Milgauss would fall somewhere after a G-Shock on my wish list.
