Father's Day Gift - Milgauss GV or SS Datejust 41mm Black face

I have a friend that's looking to purchase a rolex for her husband. She's come to me for advice. I've gone to my sources and have been able to work a 10-15% discount for each but she's at a loss on which one to choose.

Can you guys please post some pics of the Milgauss GV and the SS Datejust 41mm black face with fluted bezel and regular markers like this one

Which one would you guys choose?

Thanks

Like comparing apples and oranges, IMHO, but I think the GV is more appealing.

does he need a date function? If so, DJII.

Otherwise the GV would be more unique IMO.

DJII only because I prefer a date function.

I'm a big fan of the Milgauss, but not the GV. To me, the gimmicky green crystal...

and multicolor dial would get tiring fast. In fact, for me, it got tiring within 30 seconds after seeing the first picture of it. I think in the long run, he will be happier with the DJII.

Thanks for the responses.

Not sure if he needs the Date function , I'm thinking yes since it will be his daily beater.

IMO, the GV is the more unique of the 2 and if that's of value, then GV is the way to go!

IMO - DJII and GV are equally nice and beautiful. I know it because I have both.

Then again, its only my opinion. ;-)
