The word Rare gets thrown around often. The ref # 1530 is the rarest 1970's Rolex IMHO.

For your consideration is a stunning Rolex 1530.

It has been worn every day, never serviced and untouched 100% original Rolex.

It retains its 100% factory original finish and has not been altered in anyway other than through daily wear.
No touch ups, polishes or repairs.

It is amazingly keeping time at +3 seconds a day not bad for a 35 year watch. I am sure it could benefit from a service though.

Rolex Model 1530 Date
Serial number 41XXXX dates to 1974; making this one of the first sapphire crystal automatics from Rolex.

The case is the same as the Oysterquartz which was introduced shortly afterwards.

It is (along with the Oysterquartz) the only Oyster ever designed to include an integral bracelet.

The bracelet is composed of large flat solid links and is, without a doubt the strongest bracelet ever seen on a Rolex watch

The dial is a unique one for this model with the minute track on a separate inner sloping track.

The original champagne color MK1 dial has turned a stunning Tropical color.

Most of the 1530s you see come with the white or silver service dial.

Integral SS bracelet # 96660 comes with 13 links and is tight. Most others have the service replacement OQ bracelet and they are not the same.

These watches are very Rare and estimates of somewhere between 500 and 1,500 made..
