Buying experience with one AD in NJ ~ solid service, offered discount, solid selection, showed me old new stock with larger discount, good experience - nice people.

Now, that said, saved more $$ in grey purchase, mint/used but more work on my
end to pay, research, etc. Savings was offset by time investment, but grey purchase
should hold its value a bit better . . . . we'll see.

Mine obtained my Holy Grail watch with a lot of hard work and also threw in a Wolf single watch winder. She also typed up beautiful appraisals for myself and my watch insurance company that look suitable for framing.

Very nice treatment, I became good friends with the employee who takes care of me.

Watch winder.
Soda, coffee, wine
Invitation to Panerai event.
Invitation to Tag Heuer event.
Omega strap.
Panerai strap.
And some minor stuff (magazines, springbars)

I guess my AD is very good!!

If I may drop a name, I'll offer the Mayor's store at the Seminole Towne Center in Sanford FL.

I met Brooke two-and-a-half years ago when I walked in off the street for no good reason other than to gawk at the shiny things. She saw my 750T Pro Doxa from across the room, and recognized it immediately for what it is. To say I was surprised would be an understatement. She knows of Doxa, but until then, had never seen one. She was every bit as excited to handle that watch as I was to be toying with the Rolex's, Omega's and Raymond Weil's and the other offerings that they have.

Since then, she has become a very good friend to my wife and I both. I've offered to let her borrow one of the Doxa's, and she probably will soon enough. She also really likes my SD, and makes happy noises when she gets to wear it, even briefly.

She invites us to store events where we are offered "grab bags" filled with Rolex and other watch manufactures goodies. Books, really nice cigars, gee-gaws, coupons for local restaurants and other little things. The events are catered by some really excellent local restaurants, and as my wife and I enjoy eating on the town, we get to experience new places without having to pay.

When we visit the store on a regular day, Brooke, Neil, Sarah and the gang all take time to visit and make us feel like part of the family. My watch gets cleaned, and my wife's jewelery is cleaned and looked after by their very competent repair staff. We are offered drinks and occasionally cookies, and of course I get to play with watches I may never get a chance to otherwise see up close.

Brooke keeps me up-to-date on new arrivals, the next event, and sometimes just to say "Hi!". It's always nice to get a happy e-mail at 5am; makes for a wonderful day.

Brook and Neil both have offered very nice discounts on pieces that we've looked at, and we've taken them up on their offers more than once. Never a hard sell, always a fantastic experience.

I'm thankful of the day I walked in there a couple of years ago; not only do I have a terrific place to find beautiful things for myself and my wife, but we've also made a really good friend, and that my friends is worth more than any other perk I can think of.

Cheers!
Bill

My favorite AD sold me my SS Daytona within two weeks following my initial inquiry. Gave me a Rolex polo shirt also. I had purchased a TT DJ from them a few years earlier while on vacation.

Bad news for me my contact at my AD is being relocated to the east coast so now I have to cultivate the new relationship with her peers. hopefully she passed on her good customer list to her replacement. oh well nothing lasts forever
