Trip Lock Crown

I am curious; does anybody know when Rolex employed the trip-lock crown?

I believe the early Triplock without O-ring came about around 1972. With O-ring around 1979 or so.

Thanks, I am just trying to tell if the crown on my 5513 is original or has been replaced at some point. Since it is 1.7 mill serial without trip lock and lacking the rubber o-ring can I assume it is original?

I'd say so since the ser. no. puts it about 1968 or so.
