DSSD dial diameter
Was wondering how big the dial is on the new DSSD compared to the original SD? Anyone know?

Not sure about the dial specifically, but the case is 43mm vs. 40mm for the SD.

I don't recall the specific dial, I think it is 28 mm inside the rehaut ring. The Deepsea diameter inside the rehaut is approximately 1 mm SMALLER than the diameter of the dial on the prior Seadweller and Subs. The largest diameter dial previously was the Yachtmaster of the sport watches, but I don't know if that changed with the new ceramic sub. The Datejust dial is actually larger than any of these I believe.
If you like a larger dial the Deepsea is the wrong watch due to the smaller absolute size, combined with the oversized case and thick crystal. Not the best part of the watch. On the other hand the blue (Cerachrome) lume is the best of the Rolexes I've owned for longevity through the night. |

I think Green Arrow is right - the DSSD and SD's dials are about the same size.
