Submariner goes to the Hill
I had some meetings on the Hill today, I was going to wear the DSSD but let's face it, that monster just doesn't work with a suit, so my trusty old Submariner got to tag along. I won't bore you with the content about the meetings with various people, but show some photos instead from a sweltering hot and humid Washington, DC.
DC-story of the day: I was stupid/late enough to take my car to the Hill and quickly realized that, even if it is vacation time, there still isn't any public parking around there. So I managed to tip a parking attendant $20 to let me put my car on a government lot - he was happy and I was happy - and I ran off to my meeting. When I got back I had a $20 parking ticket from the US Capitol Police and the attendee needless to say didn't care or offered me a refund. Learned a lesson. |

Beautiful - still the best all-round watch IMHO. I see you have had the cyclops removed :)

Is it just me or is there something extra cool about the dials which just say "SWISS" on?

Well, so I was back on the Hill today in the Russel buildings meeting with staffers from 8 different Senator offices, decided that the big brother deserved a chance to come along as well
Man, this watch looks a bit ridiculous with a suit, way too much of a tool piece IMO. |

I think the SD works much better with a suit than the DSSD.

I used to work for DNC back in 98-99 and had to go to the Russell and Hart buildings a few times. Glad wasn't there when the 2 Capitol Hill officers were gunned down. Back then you could go into the senate/house chambers when not in session and sit in the chairs. After 9/11 no more and so much security now.
