Etched crown on late model SD?

Do the late model 16600 M series have a crown etched on the crystal?
Please advise.

All SD's since about 2003 models have an etched crown on the crystal..

Yes it should be there but difficult to see with naked eye, some reports on SD the LEC was not at the 6.oclock position.

The lec is engraved on the crystal, after the watch is completed. Like a badge of honour or the last piece of the puzzle. I have seen the machine that does it with my own eyes, so any etching not at 6; the watch has been tampered with.

Apparently, non-cyclops models are hard to center.

Like I said, at Rolex, the watches are etched when they are finished products, so if the lec is off, somebody at the AD has had the crystal off. RSC's and Rolex qualified watchmakers are instructed VERY seriously to ensure the lec is at 6, as it is an aid to proving genuine products.

So if a no date model is off centre from 6, it has been removed by somebody who did not pay enough attention when replacing it, and it would not be the factory.

Yes I have an M, it was hard to find and I knew where to look.

Have V-series SD/4000, yes it is there at the 6.

I just inspected it with a loupe, and there is NOTHING!
