Michael O'Leary - Interesting Site

I came accross the web site of a Mr Michael O'leary as I was searching the Comex web pages. A friend of mine used to work for Comex and has some nice watches from his time with them.

I searched the forums and could only find a couple of youtube links. Have a look at his web site, I think you'll be interested in his small collection of Subs and Sea Dwellers.

I was very impressed. sorry if this site has been included in a thread before but I couldn't find it.

I've seen this one and it is an interesting site. More than a "small" collection I'd say. And to die for lots of others would say.

Now there is someone who uses tool watches.

The safest place for your watch is on your wrist.

Michel is a friend of mine. We shared old dive stories. if you read some of his history you will find a story of him and a friend taking a welding test for Comex, a quite difficult test, in part after words they were asked if they would like a Comex Rolex. Of course their reply was yes. This took them on a nice lunch overlooking the water. After lunch they were presented with two green cardboard boxes. Take a guess what was in them...That’s right two Comex Rolex dive watches. Most of will never see on in real life and he got one for free.

A friend of mine who worked for Comex was also given a Rolex. I have seen an Old Rolex advert with him as a featured diver, wearing the watch and dressed in all his SAT diving kit. As I remember it, I think they had set a record at the time for the deepest underwater weld.
