My New GMT Master II

I've just bought a GMT Master II with the new ceramic bezel and I thought I'd post a picture of it with my Explorer II.

I seem to have been very lucky. I was going to buy the Submariner LV which I've seen in their window for the last 6 months.

When I got there I found they'd sold the LV but had (this week) taken a batch of GMT Masters.

After fulfilling their waiting list for Masters they had 2 left and had only just put one on display !

So I was a little sad about not getting a Sub LV but very very happy about getting what I really wanted - a GMT Master II !

It seems to me to be the new model too, with the ceramic bezel and the polished centrelinks on the bracelet.

So I'm well and truly in the 4th hand club now !

Darwen.

Well done, Darwen!

I agree with Rob! The II-C is the best looking in Rolex's current model line up.

Thanks for all your kind words.

I must say that after having the GMT Master for 2 days I don't think the photos I've seen of it online do it justice.

The way the ceramic bezel catches the light is truly wonderful.

Even my wife (who was totally against me buying yet another watch) took one look at it and said "ooh that's beautiful".

I've got an Omega PO too and used to think it was a good looking watch, but the Master is miles ahead of it when they're put side by side. I can see the need for the liquid metal PO now (although I've yet to see one in the flesh so to speak) - otherwise I think Omega would really start to get left behind by Rolex.

Thanks again.

Darwen.
