Cost of a new crystal face for a Deepsea?

I have a Deepsea- it has a couple of tiny marks on the face-
if I send it back to Rolex Bexley UK for a service does anybody out there know how much it would cost roughly for a new crystal face to be fitted ?

When you pay for a service I assume that items like a new face do not get replaced within the standard cost of a service?

Any information would be appreciated......

thanks,
farmkid

You're correct, a new crystal is a separate line item charge at service time. Scratches on the DSSD crystal are a real concern due to it's size and convex shape. Lots of things will scratch a sapphire crystal.

The good thing about a domed crystal is that the scratches can be removed easier than a flat one.

800 grit, 1500 grit then jewellers rouge to finish. A sapphire crystal can be buffed.

Great care and vast amount of elbow grease will reduce the scratches to nothing or near nothing. Lack of care in the low grit stage will make the problem worse.
