Thanks! No, I won't, I just wanted to prove a point to myself more than anything, that I could be happy and not have to always worry about the watch. I only use it for normal wear but if I have it on and end up doing something really hard then it will still go in the pocket, band or Nato it's the same. Too much $$ to throw away.

it is indeed a nice and classic watch...
if i have it like you, i'll send it to RSC for a complete overhaul, polishing, etc and then, it will stay with me at home, safely in the box! once again, a beautiful watch... |

Steve,
I have been following your saga, and had been thinking about dropping you a note concerning. That quality of vintage doesn't come up every day..... and you have one on your wrist. I think you should sit on the decision of getting rid of it..... try to forget about the issue totally and if you feel the same way (uncomfortable about wearing) in a couple of months, then go for it. It isn't worth the wear and tear on the psyche; however, you may have even more angst if you do get rid of it dealing with the loss. Getting out and doing some work with your 5513 is quite therapeutic to those means. Its a beauty and its a true sport watch designed for activity not a museum (within reason). That's my two cents.... don't get rid of it unless it is a measured thoughtful decision made over time.

Steve, been wearing my 5513 Sub for over 30 years ...... no problem. Only time it gets a break is when I'm wearing my LV.
