opinions appreciated
Hi, I just purchased a red Sub 1680 from a credible eBay seller. It includes punched Rolex papers, box, etc. It bid up to $11,600. So... I'm truly soliciting brutally honest opinions -- although I'm new here, no feelings will be hurt I promise. (Of course I'm hoping for good news instead.) How did I do? Pics attached.

sure.................this watch has been discussed in another forum. be mindful that these are just ppl's opinion, you having the watch in your hand will be best placed to judge.

Welcome to the Forum!
A very nice package, unfortunately, it did not include the bracelet. Is your concern related to authenticity or price?! |

Was wondering about price. I'm a babe in the woods unfortunately. Thanks for the link to the other discussion!

To some price may sound a little high, since you have to purchase a bracelet. New bracelet around $800, price for a right period bracelet $500+ depending on condition.
The plus with the package is the tag and papers. You did well! Admire it, get a bracelet and wear it! |

Welcome to the vintage forum. IMHO all research should be done before a purchase. Only you will know or understand if you payed too little or too much.Enjoy the nice red sub

I would say price is 'subjective' unless it is far off.
if you are happy with it, $ should be secondary congrats on your red, I understand it is a 'collector' watch

Congratulations on your acquisition. That is a nice watch and not too many of them around as I understand it.
