Sea dweller "swiss" dial 1999
Does anyone have photos of the "swiss" dial variations of that era?

Hey Paddy,
Welcome to the forum, bud. How's this one? Sorry it's not the best pic.

Cheers Andrew. This is the dial on my Sea Dweller, I was browsing another post that showed a slight variation on this one.
I often see "Swiss Made" dials on this age of Sea dweller is the "Swiss" dial rarer than others? |

You will see the "Swiss" only marks on the "A" serials mostly. Its rare(r) than the swiss made because it was only out for 1 year approx. It was the transition period after tritium dials that ended in mid "U" ish.. They also had the marking on the submariner dials of same period. By "P" from the very many I have seen "Swiss Made" was the mark on the bottom & no more "swiss" Chris |

Anytime, Paddy. Also, Chris has provided some excellent info. The Swiss dial was the transition dial and they are, in my opinion, quite rare. Hang on to your SD!

No good pic of mine, but I prefer the "SWISS" on my "A". It's a keeper for sure!

It's nice to see some love for the "Swiss" dial--I'm really glad I snagged one recently.

No. S-series should be tritium. Probably a luminova service dial.

My A series 16610 is a "Swiss" only. Then again, I've seen plenty of A series watches with "Swiss Made" dials.
Doesn't really matter, does it... |

Not at the moment.
But since a dot here or a line there could mean thousands of $$$ added value to a vintage Rolex, it might matter in the future. In the greater perspective it will never mean anything, of course.

Who would have thought a little red ink on a submariner dial would have caused so much commotion? And hundreds of thousands of these were made, go figure.
