How come there's so many Planets for sale?

Planet Ocean's that is... seems like they are fairly new too and already being flipped? Why is it so?

I'm saving to add a 'beater' Omega to my tiny collection, so just curious!

My guess would be that it's the gateway drug. With the Rolex being the hard stuff.

I actually think that it has shown to have a better resell value than some other Omega watches and people are taking advantage of that. Just MHO, but I really like the black bezel version. I recently added a Black dial Omega SMP 2254 and love it. Wearing right now and hope to take some pics later tonight.

Hope you are well Amanda.

I would have kept mine, but other priorities were calling. In addition to this, this was the last purchase and would be the first one that went.

That makes lots of sense dman! I noticed that they seem to get good $ for them, thats pretty good! I tried a PO out last week but the thickness of the case put me off... I want something more stealthy for my 'other' watch when not wearing the Panerai.

I'm ok, well kinda apart from one of those horrible pesky head colds...gorgeous sunny day here in Melbourne too but i feel too crap to enjoy it

How's life for you in your city????

Well who knows, I wouldnt always say Rolex is the be all and end of all of everyone's watch desires... I've seen POs for sale all over the place.... I'm sure not all of these people sell them to buy Rolex! Read the Omega forum on TZ, lots of Rolex slammers over there...

i like mine, but once i got the pam i knew it would never get much wrist time- the co-axial movement is fantastic and it looks great but it was more of a head buy then a heart buy for me

Exactly why I bought mine last week I just think they are a great looking watch. I bought mine with the orange bezel mainly because I thought that it would stand out a bit from all the other black bezel sports watches around.

Bond - Couldn't agree more. I bought my orange bezel PO when they first came out, and have not stopped loving it. A couple a months ago I got a nice deal from my AD on a black one, and love it too. Would never let go of either one of 'em.

Amanda,

The 42.5mm version isn't that heavy. Did you try that size?

If you get a rubber strap will weight less.

Regards,

Vernon

Sorry I didnt mean the weight, meant the size of the case... its a big beast and I've already got one watch like that... so my aim was to get something smaller. I think its all in hand, I'm going to be trying something out soon........ if I like it I buy it.. if not, then back to drawing board!

Hope this pic doesnt scare anyone (not my pic taken from TZ TH forum) but the more I see this the more I want it... the fact I like it has kinda rocked me a bit even, normally I hated these F1 watches... but the new version with the orange is cool as! Anyways is not available in Aussie land yet, so I'll go with Plan A and possibly pick up this one later on this year when it lands in Aus....

I hadn't really thought of one before and never really looked at them when I was in the UK, I was just on a day out here trying on a few watches and tried it on liked it and put a deposit down on it.

Pity I hadn't joined the forum before buying instead of after but such is life as they say.

Cheers

I toyed with the idea of a black one, they do look nice and I wasn't sure about the orange bezel but in the end there are numerous black bezel sports watches so it was nice to get something a bit different, pretty much the same reason for buying my LV over a regular Sub.

Oh, Amanda, why did you do that?

What a god-awful color. Here I was scrolling through a nice thread, and then BAM - what do I come upon? Ugh and double ugh.

What else can I say?

LMAO - EXACTLY the reaction I was expecting. Why does orange do that to you, Ed? We laugh and joke about it, but what is it that actually sets you off?

Not sure, Allan. I just find it to be an offensive color on the wrist. But then I don't like yellow either. But there's just something about orange that yanks my chain.

Fair enough, Ed. When I was considering which of the SEIKO Monsters to buy, I DID look at the orange dial a few times, but thought it wouldn't look good on my wrist either. For me, either champagne black, or blue (and Rootbeer now, of course) look the best on my light skin.

HA - I think that F1 looks AWESOME and once it's realised in Australia, later this year I'm going to try it out... who knows, the colour mightn't look good on me either but I'm certainly gonna try it out!

Personally I'm not that keen on blue watches.... blue and I dont get along well!

And here it is again a few more times for good measure - this is not my photo either! Imbedded from TZ Tag forum member
