My folks were visiting last month, and I had purchased a 1971 omega seamaster day date a couple of months prior, had it serviced, and gave it to my dad when they came to visit, he just loved it.I'm saving a never polished 16800 for his 55th, next year.

I have given two datejust and a SS to my wife. Being in the "business" I warn guys all the time that we only buy watches for wifes not girfriends. However, I see alot of industries where $ cant be exchanged that they buy Rolex's and we have one client specifically who buys his clients Patek's but that is a whole other world. Fun to play with them though!

I gave a TT ladies Datejust jubilee to my girlfriend...does that count?? oops I should have read the comment above ^^^^^
I have been with her for 4 years and the ring I bought her was 4 times the cost of the watch so I figured the watch was no big deal

I gave my dad a Milgauss GV to commemorate a golf trip I took him on. He had the money but never would have spent it on a Rolex.
