depends on how much green you can put up with?
if it is your first Rolex, then a 16610LV (1st gen) would probably be a more verstile option. BUT - if you love green, then 116610LV is your best bet. what a lovely "problem" you have |

I love the new green sub. But if its the only rolex that i can have, i wouldnt go for it.
Due to the large amt of green on it, i feel that there is a higher tendency to get bored with it shld it be worn daily. Imo, it has to b worn in rotation. |

I would rather have the new all green version. It is just
beautiful. Green doesn't go with everything... Or...um... Does it?

As pretty as the LV-C is, it would really be tough to have it as your only watch.
IMHO, for an "only" watch, the older LV with a spare black insert would be tough to beat.

I like the new ceramic LV much better than the older version. The green is just a better color, IMO. However, as you can tell from the comments, both versions have their fans. I also would think twice about making it your only watch.

had the same dilemma about a month ago, i decided to go for the 16610lv since the ceramic is still new and thought of it as a very good choice in the future. just remember, you will never go wrong with any of the two beauties.

Is the new Green Sub really classed as an "LV"? or has it just assumed this title by its Green relationship?
I am puzzled to see how Rolex could make an Anniversary/Commemorative watch and then remake it 7 years later but by totally altering the appearance??????? Not trying to sound negative or does Rolex think they will sell it better by calling it an "LV" Regards Jake |

Both are obviously great choices. go try them both and decide. I would not buy based on others opinions but it does help to know what others think. I have the LV and have tryed the version as well. I thinks its a bit too muh green for my tastes..you may love it though???

The new green is much nicer in the flesh than in pix. I would go with that because of its appearance and more practical bracelet.

I have the old and have seen and tried on the new. If I had to choose it would be the old for sure.

I have and prefer the "old" LV. If it is you're only Rolex, like it is mine, I'd stay away from too much green. The old bezel insert is just enough. Plus you could source a black insert and change it up at will. Good luck with your decision. There really is no wrong one here.

I like the new one but wouldn't buy it unless green was your favourite colour.

The 116610LV is also called an "LV" just because happens to have a "Green Bezel" around an all "Green Gold Dial" Hope this helps. |

I think they should offer the new 116610lv with a black dial and a green bezel.
