No! Let it stay original as can be.
Even adding a stone will bring the President down....

Actually, the brilliant cut of the diamonds of Rolex watches are not that brilliant. I'm not sure if it's intended or it's difficult, but the facets are not as much as I would like, hence the light doesn't play much. (Last time I louped it, it's about 6-7 facets I think?)

(I know this because my mom designs jeweleries for a living and I am in that game too for a few).

However, there may be a reason for using "large facets" and less cutting, because they're sitting on a dial that doesn't allow any light to play from underneath the diamond, so only from the top, the light can glint off.

I wonder, what would happen if Rolex chooses to use a more faceted diamond... would it be more "brilliant" or because of limited light play, be more "dull?"..

Anyone have any experiences with an aftermarket?
