Root Beer questions...

Hey Everyone.
Im looking for clarification on "root beer" model GMT's.

1. Some have an all brown bezel insert, some have a day/night two tone version...which is correct for which piece? I had always made the assumption that the all brown insert was for the all 18k model and the TT bezel was for the TT model.

2.What was the last year that they offered the root beer?

3.When was the through clasp gold offered on the TT?

4.When were the models "improved" from Master to Master II?

Answers and additional info is very much appreciated...

Cheers
Christiaan

I'll answer #4...

The GMT II was introduced in ~1983 as the 16760, but it wasn't offered as an "improvement" to the GMT Master.. It was introduced in addition to the GMT Master, which continued on for the next 17 years..

So, both models were produced side-by-side, hence, GMT Master and GMT Master II

2.What was the last year that they offered the root beer? I BELIEVE 1998
