Possibility for discount on New Sub C in HK
Dear all members,
I will be in HK Jan, 2011. Also, I am interested on new Sub C 116610LN and 116610LV. I have checked for list prices in HK, which are quite more expensive than in Europe (after tax refund). My question is.... is it possible to get some discount on these rolex models from official rolex AD (not from grey market)? Thank you very much for the information. Best regards, |

HK has no tax on these so you won't get any tax off. Generally I would expect the HK list to be less or comparable to US price. As for discount on the sub, i think you might get 2-5% off if lucky. It's still quite new so you might get no discount.

In my experience, the "hot" models in HK usually have no or minimal discount. It is all based on market forces.

Discounts in HK currently vary from zilch to 5%. Funnily enough the bigger boutique ADs (central / IFC) tend to give bigger discounts. It is out of stock in many locations.

You'd be lucky to find the LV in stock anywhere in HK. The independent ADs are asking for 10% over list.

Dear everyone,
Thank you very much, sir, for all the information. I will pay for the price by cash and hope to get some discount (otherwise, the price seems too expensive compared with Spain, for example). Any particular official Rolex ADs that I should visit, sir? Thank you very much. |

Take a look at these shops, they sell new and used watches.

For HK AD's (and there are many), I liked La Suisse Watch in Causeway Bay. There is an AD or 2 in every mall in HK. In the popular shopping areas (Central, Causeway Bay, TST), there is an AD in every corner (practically, speaking!).
Have fun, HK is watch heaven!
